Leoniver's is our new kennel name. These pages used to be known as Amber's Tollerpages, at tollers.hulb.net. Amber is the name of our Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever. Nova Scotia is on the East Coast of Canada, and toller comes from the activity that the dogs are famous for, tolling or playing to entice ducks to come within the hunter's range. They belong to the Retrievers, along with the well known Goldens, Labradors and Flat Coats and the lesser known Curly Coated and Cheasapeake Bays.

We live in Switzerland, just south of Berne, in the foothills of the alps. We have had Golden Retrievers for 12 years or so. Our next door neighbour has a Toller and we fell in love with this wonderful package of energy. After a 9 months wait we went to pick up our Decoymans Piper Annabel (Amber) in summer 2002.

The breeder wanted to keep one of the puppies in the litter, and told us that it was really difficult to make up his mind which one to give us. We are very happy how things turned out!
